In 2013, Flisadam Pointer, a journalism and media studies student at Rutgers University-New Brunswick stepped into the Rutgers Radio WRSU 88.7 FM station on the university’s College Avenue campus for the first day of her solo one-hour show, Envert Radio. Following nearly a year as the co-host on The Core 90.3 FM’s Music Is Life show, Flisadam ventured out to create a radio show that was dedicated specifically to local talent.

After receiving a great reception from local artists and the student body, the radio show expanded to a two-hour weekly freeform show featuring on-air performances, in-studio interviews, and music premieres. Notable guest included NBC’s The Voice contestant Felicia Temple, Traz Messiah, Sa├»ka Bince and Tia Holt to name a few.

However, post-graduation, after securing full-time employment Flisadam found it difficult to manage both the show’s high demands and her workplace responsibilities. In 2015, Envert Radio was laid to rest broadcasting its last show from Rutgers University’s airwaves.

A year passed but the passion for the independent music scene burned deeper than ever before in Flisadam’s soul. Unable to hide from her passion any longer, Flisadam made the decision to relaunch Envert Radio making the transition from on-air show to an online news site by the name of Envert Entertainment in 2016, officially celebrating its birthday on August 8th.

The mission of Envert Entertainment is to serve as the one-stop shop media hub for independently marketed and funded entertainers including recording artists, filmmakers, visual artists and more by conducting in-depth interviews, providing unbiased news coverage and assist in live performance promotions.
